Get a World-class Seal With Your Bathmate
Wether it’s the extra scrotal tissue or the proximity of your nuts –some of us are at a significant disadvantage in getting a perfect seal with the Bathmate. When I first started I had this issue too. It was a constant battle between my balls and the Bathmate –most fights ending with my testies feeling like a punching bag. It took a good year to discover that the fickleness of the the pubic zone makes for inconsistencies when doing any sort of pumping. Some days you can get in the zone because your zone is in the zone, other days the only thing it wants to do is fight every trick you’ve learned from your own experience and others online.
If by chance you are wondering whether this issue is something you would face with the more advanced Xtreme – it isn’t. In fact, after upgrading from the Hercules to the Hydromax Xtreme X30, I did not have this problem. For those wondering whether to upgrade, I’d suggest they do so. However, using the method below I was able to get a years worth of use out of my Hercules, earning me nearly .75 inch growth in length, and .5 inch in extra thickness. Not bad!
So, if you were thinking about ditching your Bathmate for a Penomet, or switching from the hydro pump to air, or even swapping for a stretcher – you try this first!
Before you go any further, this article assumes two things:
- you’ve already shaved your pubic region
- you currently use your pump semi-erect to erect
- those tips aren’t working for you…
1 and 2 are the most popular tips for getting the best Bathmate seal on male enhancement forums. They are the 2 best cents anyone has to offer… until this article of course.
The Key to Getting a Comfortable Airtight Seal
To battle your bodies own inconsistencies you should employ a little Sun Tzu:
“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.”
-Sun Tzu, the Art of War
What can be taken away from this ancient Chinese wisdom? If you’ve looked at your own struggle with getting a seal, most men will likely see that the largest battle comes from keeping an erection while getting a good seal. Some guys will be 2 weeks in with their pumping and finally come Tuesday they lose the motivation to sustain an erection long enough to get that perfect seal. It gets tiresome to have to fight for a great seal every day…
So what’s a guy to do?
To solve the problem ‘Sun Tzu style’ -stop using it erect. Using it without an erection is eliminating the fight you go through every day before your routine. If you are getting tired of having to get an erection each time just to use your pump then this method is for you. It simplifies the whole process and makes it that much easier to maintain a routine. More importantly, not only will be the easiest seal you’ve ever worked for -it will be the most comfortable! Your battered testicles will thank you.
Meet Your Hercules New Best Friend
Athletes love elastic bandage wrap and now it’s your pumps turn too. Using it has allowed me to use my pump every morning at the same time, without worrying about whether I will get a good seal or not.
I use a Hercules, and cut a strip of 7.5 inches which works great for me. Cutting an 8 inch strip will give you a good place to start trimming from. If you want to learn more about the different sizes of Bathmates you can do so on my comparison.
Getting a great seal starts with some elastic wrap.
As you can see, I do not have the velcro style elastic wrap at the moment. You can use any of the self adhering kinds, but do not use the clips if you buy a different kind! I’m sure you understand why. If you do not use the velcro style then you’ll need to get your custom wrap wet before you use it, otherwise it won’t adhere to itself that well.
After you wrap the base of your shaft, the next step is to put on the pump and give a go of it. You’ll find that there will be less (if any!) pressure on your testies. The wrap literally works to block scrotal suction, as it acts as an extra barrier between your danglers and the pump. Coincidentally it also forces more blood to the upper extremities of the penis, often resulting in a larger head! More on that in my top 3 tips for pumping.
Give it a Try and Let Me Know How it Works For You!
When it comes to pumping the best results come through routine. Routine on the other hand has many foes, and in most cases that foes ugly face is represented by how you are hanging that day in flaccid and erect state.
Those alone are huge determinants of how well of a seal you get.
Now you have ANOTHER way to get a better seal with your Bathmate –one I know will work for you if you take the time to do before you start pumping. It is a method that can be used while erect, but you will need another custom cut strip just for that kind of use. I still find using it flaccid the best, but that’s my own personal opinion.
So, what’s your thoughts? Will you give this seal-trick a try?

April 24, 2014, 2:43 pmHi,
Thanks for the tip but I an wondering if you can clarify exactly how this works for me. Is the 7.5 inch long elastic wrap simply wrapped around the base of the shaft such that the bathmats just fits over it and this creates the seal? Does this mean you would use a shorter strip erect because you starting girth would be more and 7.5 inch strip would be too thick?
Or I am completely wrong in this understanding?
cheers

April 24, 2014, 7:00 pmExactly, the elastic wrap is wrapped around the base of the shaft and your pump fits entirely over it. When you start pumping the expansion creates a tighter yet cushioned seal against the inside of the bathmate. You will notice that the seal is around the shaft instead of the pubic area.
To test it you can pull upwards on your bathmate, you should feel the push of blood to the head of the penis, and no suction of your testies.
You are also right about having to use a shorter strip for pumping erect. The added girth from the strip when erect makes it difficult to put on the bathmate, so having 2 custom cut strips is ideal, but may not be necessary. You will have to play around with what length works for you.
In the picture above you’ll see that I have my strip folded, which I find works well for me when using the pump flaccid. When using erect I simply unfold it, making it less thick, allowing me to use one strip instead of two. For others it might be different, so play around with what strip works best for you, and if 2 custom lengths is better.
Fortunately this stuff is cheap, and once you go through the trial and error you’ll have a completely new, easier, and better experience with your pump.
Hope it works for ya, and cheers to saving others from the pains of scrotal suckback!

November 30, 2015, 5:40 amAh man this is just what I needed, I just tried this out and the amount of water in the pump is staying full and no little air bubbles seeping in making it lose suction. I can let go of the pump completely and it remains stuck to my groin the whole 10 mins.

January 29, 2016, 8:45 pmAre you stretching the penis out to add the wrap, or just wrapping without pulling? Also is this a tight wrap or loose wrapping? Thanks.
