Hydro Penis Pump Water Retention
Bathmate is a top-selling Penis Enlargement device that uses water rather than air to create a vacuum around your penis. By design hydro pumps have a maximum pressure users can reach, making them a safer penis pump option. Even with the built-in maximum pressure, however, it is possible to over pump your penis. Pumping too hard – with too much vacuum or for too long – may cause various injuries, including water retention.
What is Water Retention?
Water retention is the absorption of water from inside the pump into your penis. As the tissue expands within the vacuum water absorbs into it, creating unwanted retention. This water stays in the skin of the penis and does not have any long-term effect on penis size, though it may cause more expansion in the immediate after effects. Any water retention you do experience will go away on its own, usually within 24 hours. Water retention is sometimes called “the donut effect” because it leaves a donut-type ring below the head of the penis. Water retention is not dangerous but you should still be careful to avoid it. Water retention is a sign of improper use, possibly preventing the desired effect of pumping. The more often you retain fluid the more likely it is to happen in the future, so be sure to take care of the problem as soon as it arises.
How to Prevent Water Retention
The most effective way to prevent water retention is to warm up properly. “Warm up” meaning literally warming up your penis. Take a hot shower or bath, allowing your penis to get warm. You can also wrap your penis in a warm towel. This step is important in preventing water retention and other injuries. You may also be using too much vacuum and pulling too much fluid into your penis; try lowering the vacuum for longer periods of time to prevent this. If you are new to Bathmate, remember to start slow. Use the Bathmate for shorter periods of time and with less pressure. This will prevent over-doing the pump and bringing unwanted fluid to your penis.
I learned all of this the hard way, as you can see in my day 10 post. The key is to go slow, working your way up to your max pressure. This is how you get positive results with the Bathmate.
