In 2012 I bought a $110 Hercules hydro pump to see if I could reproduce the results everyone else was talking about. I started with a 30 day challenge, but there was a lot of trouble along the way. Swelling, testicle discomfort -enough to get me to stop using it for a month after the challenge ended. I did see a .25 inch temporary gain, but that disappeared after my month off.
After a month break I went back to it, but I did go much slower and cut down the recommended use time down to 10-15 minutes. I stopped measuring, and once I got into routinely using it 5 days a week in the shower… I pretty much stopped worrying about results. After 3 months I did see visual changes:
- veinier, much veinier. Looks like it has been lifting weights.
- fordyce spots started disappearing. I’m pretty sure this is from the addition Magnesium Chloride I have been putting in the water.
- small stretch marks in foreskin, but nothing major, no discoloration. I got most of those stretch marks when I overpumped and my foreskin swelled. This stopped when I dropped the pressure I pumped to, and took breaks between pumping. I believe the magnesium chloride I have been adding also made a difference in this. More on that in the end of this review.
- larger head. My head has always been smaller, but now there is definite mushroom shapeage going on.
The Pumping Routine I Ended up Turning Too
My pumping routine consisted of a slower, 2 min pumped, 15 seconds break to allow fresh blood to re-enter. Pumping too hard if you have foreskin without taking breaks pulls too much blood too quickly into the thinner, blood vessel rich tissue of the foreskin. I stopped getting hematomas (those red spots from burst vessels), and swelling (which concerned me the most), but since I cut the recommended pumping time in half, and stopped pumping to higher pressures… I really didn’t think I’d see results. I was seeing them, I was told they were there, but I just really was skeptical that it was actually working.
For You: I’m giving away a free 21 day bathmate routine that got me .25″ in 21 days using interval pumping and false erections. No gimmicks. The spreadsheet explains everything.
For the false erection exercise I recommend you use this pump model because the hand pump gives you so much more control and makes the exercise much easier and enjoyable -pleasurable even! If you plan on pumping before sex, then this is the model you will want because you can cycle your erection for a quick and easy performance boost.
The Results I Ended Up With After a Year
But, all things aside, when it had been a year and I finally measured, I had a .75 inch gain length, and a near .5 inch in thickness. All while using it half the recommended amount of time, and taking breaks every couple minutes…
I’m not stopping! I will keep the slow routine I have been using. Personally, the last thing I want to do is do any serious damage. I believe that people that are seeing discoloration and serious stretch marks are going too fast.
Aside from going slow, I am also experimenting with putting epsom salt and magnesium chloride in the water. This has been trial and error as well, but the results seem promising. Magnesium chloride is essential for over 300 chemical reactions in the body, a lot of those having to do with important cellular functions like repairing -a huge reason why so athletes rely on it after workouts. I will be putting up a free email newsletter you can sign up for to get updates on that, but it may be awhile before I have the time to do so. Until then I’d recommend getting used to habitually using a hydro pump, so when that guide is available you can easily add it to your pre-existing routine.
2016 Update: I started using a Phallosan Forte with the Bathmate, and plan to for a year. I share results and data that will be helpful to anyone that wants an idea of the time commitment involved with adding a stretcher to a pump routine. The first 3 months were a struggle, but so far, things are looking good. I am calling this the Pump & Stretch Challenge, which will end on March 2017. Updates are also available through the email newsletter.
Where Can You Get Your Own?
When I bought my Hercules I purchased from a store that no longer exists. However, since this update I have tested another seller, which is an official dealer that makes it very easy to register your pump for warranty through an online form on their website – this is the place. I also recommend this seller in my original hercules review, which you may also want to read.
The Hercules is just 1 of 6 sizes of hydro pumps available. It’s true that the right size for you will feel and work best. See which Bathmate fits you in this guide. There you will also find a 15% off coupon code.
Till Next Time
Hopefully you found my 1 year review valuable. If you did, I invite you to bookmark this site so you can come back later and see what’s new. This isn’t one of those toss-up fake review sites that recommends every product under the sun. It’s my own personal case study, and one I plan on continuing for the long term. I’m always testing stuff and finding new ways to pump, like the hack I created below that makes it easier to pump outside the shower or bathtub.

Believe it or not, competition is pretty stiff in this arena, and my competitors would be more than happy to see my honest reviews disappear from the internet. The well established players would rather take the easy way out and not have to write comprehensive reviews. In fact, they’d rather not have to use the product at all!
Negative attacks have already started against this blog, in the form of 100’s of spam links from Chinese websites. For a new website owner like me, this presents a huge barrier to entry, and is a huge reason why you do not see many honest reviews on the web. They simply get spammed to death.
You can hep fight back by simply saving or sharing this site below.
Hopefully I’m not alone in this, and that you too agree there shouldn’t be any barriers to providing honest reviews.
